Great job on Hexy! I cannot wait to get one.
One thing is holding me back tho. I am looking to get just the plastic pieces as I would like to maybe op for different servos but I noticed that the controller for hex is a custom arduino with 3 prong male connectors as opposed to the Arduino Uno two prong female connectors. Can we use the Uno to configure this robot?

The plastic pieces really only do well with the very specific size of servo we ship with. They’re designed to be just the right size, so I’m not sure how well your different servo would fit.
The controller is custom because an Uno can’t output 19 precise PWM channels. The connectors are the type used in servos:
We have extra input/outputs broken out onto the female header strips at the bottom, you’ll be able to see more once the documentation goes online, which should be by the end of September as we start shipping.
