Curriculum

Hi I am 12 years old and I got my Sparki from Kickstarter. I have heard that there may be a curriculum to teach kids about Sparki and the programming of C+. I have no idea if this is the case or if it is already available. If you know anything about where to find it, when it comes out, or anything in general relating to this topic please let me know.

Hi. Welcome to Sparki. Joseph Schlesinger (aka roboalchemist) is the admin on this forum & the ArcBotics Co-Founder. He’s very helpful & I expect will be posting soon to answer your questions properly.

In the meantime, there is a getting started guide at…arcbotics.com/products/sparki/start/ which should help you out.

For learning about the language used in Arduino, I think that this is a great place to start…arduino.cc/en/Reference/HomePage. It will give you a description and examples for different aspects of the Arduino language.

Best of luck!

Thanks so much Trevor for your help I will do.

Yup, start page is where its at.

Once you get Sparki code uploading by following the guides, you should probably start by following the how to program tutorials. Once you do that, you should be able to understand what is happening better in the example code. Play around with the example code and see what you can do with it. Change it little by little and see what happens. That way, you don’t have to start from scratch to get cool things happening. Once you feel comfortable enough, you can even start writing programs from scratch!

Be sure to keep us up to date on how it goes, good luck!
