Hello, I’m new here.
I just got Hexy together.
Hexy would not move after powering him up. He would just shiver, like he was cold.
I got some rechargeable batteries and thought I’d try to update the firmware.
I had some problems getting the firmware updated to 1.7 but finally got it.
After the batteries and firmware update, Hexy stood up!!
Now that he’s up and moving about, I have questions.
Hexy’s gate is a bit odd, he walks but his feed begin to fold under and he ends up on his knees and I kill the servos.
His feet don’t all touch the ground at the same time. Do these issues have to do with the placement of the servo in the horn?
If yes, can he be adjusted using PoMoCo or do I need to pull him apart to adjust the position mechanically?

With regards to your question about the feet not all touching the ground at the same time, you should be able to make tweaks to the offset settings in PoCoMo to do the calibration. Also, if Hexy is not walking properly you may want to try powering the logic and servo parts separately. Let us know how that works for you.

Since my original post, I’ve realized that I could use PoMoCo to offset his positions.
He’s tweaked and walking around pretty well now.
