Issues getting Hexy moving

Hey all,

So I was out of the country until last month and as such got a late jump on getting hexy set up. Well hes all well and built but when I try to run PoMoCo I run into some issues. The program opens up just fine but when I hit SetZero several of the legs begin to jitter at the hip joint. When I send the command to stand everything seems to go as it should except that the front two legs curl up instead of down, on top of this one or more legs will also jitter. I am powering hexy off the recommended AA Powerex NiMH batteries. I started out with 4 and saw minimul jittering, I thought that maybe the board required more voltage so I went up to 5 AA’s but that just made the jittering worse. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Sincerely,
Seriously Frustrated

P.S. I am running off of a Mac, if that makes a difference…

Legs going in the wrong direction are usually a result of legs being mis-wired. Try checking the connections again.

Some jittering in the legs is normal. The jittering should stop with the legs on the ground.

hmmmm, unless the diagram in the instructions is incorrect I have the front legs wired correctly. The only other thing i can think is that the front legs arent exactly the same as the middle and back legs, the U piece is facing the opposite direction on the hip joint. I dont think that is an issue but I dont know what else could be causing the front legs to curl up.

That would definitely cause the issue. If the legs are reversed, the servos are reversed, and thus would go up instead of down.
