I saw this in a magazine and have been drawn here.
Im just wondering after building it – what are you guys doing with your Hexbots? can you give me any examples or vids of things you have got it doing?
is this kit stable or has it got lots of random issues?
They’ve only been out for a little bit, so most people have just gotten it to do the included moves. There are some examples here:
The servos seem to be a bit weak in the wild, but we’re looking at including/selling replacement servo gears for cheap. A lot of the problems have been attributable to over-torquing when doing moves, which can be helped by doing a servo calibration before running moves.
As with anything this complex, it can sometimes be challenging to get running. Thanks to the awesome people on the forums we’re figuring out pretty well what the common confusion points are, and where our documentation has been lacking, and we’ve gotten most people who’ve had issues up and running.
