Reinstalling remote control code

How do you reinstall the remote control code?

Hi. You can’t re-install the default code that came loaded. (Search the forum for previous discussion).

The remote only can be re-installed by opening the examples->parts->remote.

Hope this helps.

Many thanks, whoever wrote the documentation for this needs a kick up the rear. With all the hype that went with this launch you would expect they would have done a decent job, very very poor indeed.

Hi Droneguy,

I’m writing the documentation. Sorry for the confusion. Thanks for bringing it to our attention, we’ve already updated the upload guide here to let people know if they want to restore the remote code, they need to reupload it:

I couple of days ago I had asked if you would make available the sketch source code for the program that comes preinstalled on Sparki (remote control + object avoidance) so it could be restored. I think that is what others are now asking about, and not the basic “remote only” program in examples.

Thanks,

We posted a Restore_Default example in the latest update, so you can now restore Sparki to ‘factory’ state, with one exception: Sparki now stops the internal program with any button pressed. Lots of people didn’t know how to get it to stop, so we felt this was a good addition.

Thank you, I have it and I should have deleted this post.
