Sparki Demo - Code cannot upload

Hi,
I have not been able to run Sparki Demo at all, I am doing everything as stated in getting it started. Problem is in the Code upload, It will take for ever? Any ideas or Tips?

Thanks.

Hi. What do you mean by Sparki demo? Can you give more details of what you are trying to do?

I am trying to Upload RGB Demo Code. Upload progress bar shows it can progress till 80% and not any more.
Another thing is I can’t see the the Board Type “Arcrobotics” in Tools->Board List. By default Arduino-Leonardo is selected.

Thanks,

That’s your problem. Might have a loose connection on the usb socket. Unplug & try again.

Do a search of the torus for usb for more info. Hope it works.

What version of installation did you use? Is it SparkiDuino-1.0.5.4? The “Tools->Board” list on this new installation does not contain the “ArcBotics Sparki” only the standard Arduino boards.

Yes, it is latest Update.

I check USB connections. It seems fine.

Unfortunately version 1.0.5.4 is now the default Windows installer in the main website, which does not have “ArcBotics Sparki” in the “Tools->Board” selection list, only the standard Arduino boards. The Forum site does not allow attachment of .exe files otherwise I would have sent it with this reply. To use version 1.0.5.4 you will have to replace the “Board.txt” file with the one use in version 1.0.5.3. Just to see if your Sparki is working, I’ll e-mail you version 1.0.5.3 installer if that is OK with you.

This problem has now been fixed. Please re-download and re-run the installer.

I downloaded it and this Problem is fixed But another problem has come up now. As sson as I connect Sparki to my computer USB, the driver instllation starts and a error is displyed, that Driver didn’t got installed.
How to fix that now?
Thanks.

I am having the same problem. I guess we will have to wait on ArcBotics to come up with a new fix. I have to fight through something every revision.

Don’t give up yet…

  1. Download the latest version of the installer from the website.
  2. Make sure the Sparki is disconnected from the USB cable. Run the downloaded file.
  3. Make sure to install all drivers when asked. When the installation completes entirely, shutdown the computer. Do not launch SparkiDuino at this time.
  4. With the computer off, install Sparki using the USB cable unto the computer. Start up the computer.
  5. The Sparki will blink. Let everything settle down.
  6. Start SparkiDuino, select the board "ArcBotics Sparki"and select the COM, if not already selected.
  7. On the bottom right of the SparkiDuino, it should say “ArcBotics Sparki on COMx”, where x is the selected COM port.
  8. Sparki should be good…to upload example programs.
