Why is it that sometimes Sparki sometimes maintains the prior program after you re-program it? Sometimes pressing the reset button gets Sparki’s brain back in order with the new program, but sometimes it doesn’t work. I have been able to solve this issue by reprogramming it a few times or doing that hold the reset button thing described in the re-program instructions. Can the re-programming be made more simple?
It can’t retain the previous program after re-programming it. Resetting always restores it to the last program uploaded. It sounds like the program just didn’t upload at all in the first place.
I’ve run into this several time now, and I’m not sure what’s going on. The SparkiDuino says it’s uploading, but the status LED doesn’t flash red like it’s doing anything. It does seem to restart the code on the sparki, because what I have in the setup code runs but the program is not updated. I’ve just had to do the ‘hold reset’ trick to get the new code uploaded.
